The 3M™ cloth band 341D abrasive band measures 1/2" diameter by 1/2" width with 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing. It is designed as a spiral band or short tube that conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide mineral provides long life and continuous performance, suitable for use on a wide range of materials including wood, fiberglass, ferrous alloys, and other metals, making it ideal for woodworking and metalworking applications. The band fits onto rubber wheel attachments like cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) and is compatible with die grinders or rotary drills. Its resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, and the product comes in various widths and lengths tailored for different contours. Typical applications include blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
