The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D measures 1/4" diameter by 1/2" width and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping and is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The band fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels, used with die grinders or rotary drills (attachments sold separately). Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers fast cut-rate, durability, and long life, working effectively on a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys, making it a commonly used industrial abrasive. The resin bond ensures the abrasive particles remain secure under high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths, these bands are frequently used in foundry work and applications including blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
