The 3M™ cloth band 341D, measuring 1/4" diameter by 1/2" width with P120 grit aluminum oxide, is a spiral band or short tube designed to conform to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. It features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This versatile abrasive cloth band is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers fast cut-rate, durability, and long life, and can be used on various materials, including ferrous alloys, making it a common industrial abrasive. The resin bond between abrasive particles and cloth backing withstands high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths, it is well-suited for foundry work and industrial applications such as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing in metal fabrication industries.
