The 3M™ Cloth Band 341D measures 1/2" in diameter by 1-1/2" in width with 50 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, grinding, and smoothing on a variety of materials including wood, fiberglass, and ferrous alloys, making it suitable for both woodworking and metalworking applications. The cloth band is designed to be used with a rubber wheel attachment, such as a cushion polishing wheel or rubber slotted expander wheel (sold separately), on die grinders or rotary drills. Its aluminum oxide mineral construction offers high durability, fast cut-rate, and resistance to heat and pressure. The bands are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate different contours and tasks, commonly employed in foundry work, metal fabrication, and processes such as blending corners, contour finishing, deburring (including internal diameters), grinding, and polishing.
