The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D is a 1-1/2" diameter by 1" wide spiral band featuring 36 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, designed for fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This versatile band is used for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, it offers fast cut-rate, durability, and longevity, suitable for a wide variety of materials including ferrous alloys. The resin bond secures the abrasive particles to the cloth backing, allowing the band to withstand high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths, it is commonly used in foundry work for applications including blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing.
