The 3M™ cloth band 341D measures 1-1/2" diameter by 1" width with 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, providing fast continuous cutting and long-life performance. This spiral band or short tube conforms to inner and outer contours for sanding, shaping, and grinding applications, including removing parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs on various materials such as wood, fiberglass, ferrous alloys, and other metals. The 341D cloth band is designed to fit onto a rubber wheel attachment, such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel, for use with a die grinder or rotary drill. Constructed with aluminum oxide, a popular industrial abrasive mineral known for its fast cut rate, durability, and long life, the bands feature abrasive particles bonded with resin to withstand high heat and pressure. They come in various widths and lengths for different contours and tasks, commonly used in foundry work for blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing, particularly within metal fabrication industries.
