The 3M™ cloth band 341D, measuring 1-1/2" diameter by 1-1/2" width with 40 grit aluminum oxide, is a spiral band or short tube designed to conform to inner and outer contours for sanding and shaping. It features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, delivering fast continuous cut and long-life performance. This versatile abrasive cloth band is suitable for grinding to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. The 3M™ abrasive cloth band 341D fits onto a rubber wheel attachment—such as a cushion polishing wheel or a rubber slotted expander wheel—compatible with die grinders or rotary drills (attachments sold separately). Constructed using aluminum oxide mineral, this band offers a fast cut rate, durability, and long life, making it ideal for a wide variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles bonded with resin create a strong adhesion capable of withstanding high heat and pressure.
