3M™ paper sheet 346U measures 3-2/3" x 9" and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive constructed with a durable yet flexible paper backing, suitable for coarse sanding and use on curved surfaces. The aluminum oxide abrasive is a very hard mineral that maintains sharp points on the grains longer than natural abrasives such as emery or garnet. The abrasive grains are adhered with open-coat construction, spacing the grains to minimize dust buildup and reduce loading when sanding soft materials, thereby extending the sheet’s usable life. This sandpaper is ideal for blending joints in wood and metalworking, as well as prepping metal prior to painting. It is used across industries including cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing.
