3M™ Hookit™ paper sheet 236U is a 3" x 4" P80 grit aluminum oxide sheet designed for use with a 3 x 4 inch orbital sander. It features a strong C-weight paper backing that resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding, with resin bonding for heat resistance to increase durability and cut performance. The sheet has an open coat and a load-resistant coating to enhance dust management and maintain cutting efficiency by preventing clogging when sanding softwoods, paints, and similar materials. This durable aluminum oxide abrasive is suited for high production sanding and general-purpose applications on paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. It attaches securely to a 3 x 4 inch (75 x 100 mm) 3M™ Hookit™ pad (sold separately) allowing for quick, easy changes between grits, and can be reused multiple times during its life span. The open coat design spaces abrasive grains apart for dust escape, optimizing cut rate and longevity. Aluminum oxide mineral provides a fast cut rate and long-lasting abrasive performance suitable for industrial use. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
