3M™ Hookit™ paper sheet 236U measures 3" x 4" and features P100 grit aluminum oxide for aggressive cut and long life. The sheet is constructed with a durable C-weight paper backing that resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding, and it is resin-bonded to provide heat resistance, enhancing both life and cut. It is designed for use with a 3 x 4 inch orbital sander and attaches conveniently via the 3M™ Hookit™ system to a 3 x 4 inch (75 x 100 mm) 3M™ Hookit™ pad (sold separately). The abrasive is open coated, allowing dust to escape and preventing clogging, while a load-resistant coating maintains cutting efficiency on softwoods, paints, and other clog-prone materials. This combination optimizes cut-rate and extends sheet life. The sheet is suitable for high-production sanding operations as well as general purpose applications on paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. Hookit™ sheets are reusable over the life of the sheet, unlike adhesive-backed sheets, which can only be used once.
