The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheet 6" x 12" Talc uses a conformable non-woven web combined with talc, a mild abrasive mineral, to blend, clean, and finish surfaces. This flexible sheet is effective for contour finishing, lacquer finishing, polishing, and accessing hard-to-reach areas to produce a uniform finish. It effectively cleans, blends, and conditions metals, wood, composites, advanced surfaces, and is also suitable for paint prep. Applications include cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing. The washable and reusable 6" x 9" sheet resists loading due to its non-woven, open-web structure, ensuring consistent conditioning throughout its life. It can be used by hand for precise control, with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, or on an in-line sander for large area coverage. The product is available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals, where silicon carbide suits low-pressure paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide provides a high cut-rate and long life, and talc achieves satin or high gloss finishes in topcoat rubbing applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix, delivering consistent results with open-web material that runs cool and is load resistant.
