The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheet measures 4" x 4" and features a very fine non-woven web embedded with aluminum oxide mineral for blending, cleaning, and finishing applications. Designed to be flexible, the sheet effectively reaches hard-to-access areas to produce a uniform finish, making it suitable for contour finishing, lacquer finishing, and polishing. The kit includes sheets that clean, blend, and condition metals, wood, composites, and advanced surfaces, also serving well in paint preparation. Typical applications include cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing. These sheets are washable, reusable, and constructed with an open-web design that resists loading, providing consistent conditioning results throughout their lifespan. They can be used manually for precise control, with a hand pad block for even finishing, or on an in-line sander for large-area coverage. The Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheets are available with abrasive minerals such as silicon carbide—known for sharpness and suitability for low-pressure paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide—characterized by hardness, high cut rate, and long life producing a moderately coarser finish, or talc—used for mild abrasion to achieve satin finishes or combined with polish for a high gloss topcoat rubbing finish. The abrasive system combines abrasives embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix, resulting in an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading while delivering consistent surface conditioning performance.
