The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheet measures 3" x 3" in Very Fine (VFN) grit with aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for blending, cleaning, and finishing applications. The sheet features a conformable non-woven web combined with abrasive minerals, making it flexible and effective for contour finishing, lacquer finishing, polishing, and reaching hard-to-access areas to produce a uniform finish. It is suitable for use on metals, wood, composites, and advanced surfaces, as well as for paint preparation. Typical applications include cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing. The sheets are washable, reusable, and resist loading due to their open-web, non-woven construction, delivering consistent conditioning results throughout their lifespan. They can be used by hand for precise control, with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, or on an in-line sander for covering large areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheets are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide provides a high cut rate and long life producing a slightly coarser finish, and talc is a mild abrasive for satin finishes or polished high gloss topcoat rubbing. The abrasive system integrates abrasives within a non-woven fiber matrix, allowing the open-web material to run cool and resist loading, ensuring consistent performance.
