The 3M™ Utility Cloth Sheet 211K is a lightweight cloth sandpaper measuring 9" x 11" with a 150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for hand sanding and various metalworking applications. The product features a closed coat construction using aluminum oxide mineral, known for its fast cut-rate, long life, and self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges. It is suitable for use on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, supporting tasks such as deburring by hand or machine, cleaning metals prior to welding, removing rust and contaminants, blending and repairing metal finishes, fine sanding, polishing, and surface preparation for paints and coatings. The cloth backing offers flexibility to sand circular edges or small pieces without tearing easily or losing grit from folding or bending, while still allowing manual tearing for smaller pieces when needed. This abrasive is widely used in industries such as marine and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) for cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and rust removal.
