The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 3" x 10 yds Talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastic surfaces, as well as hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its use. Its load resistance ensures abrasive particles remain exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder or an inline or oscillating sander for uniform finishing across larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, while aluminum oxide is a hard mineral offering a high cut rate and durability. Talc, the mild abrasive in this product, achieves a satin finish or can be used with polish for a high gloss topcoat rubbing finish. The product features abrasives embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading, maintaining high cutting performance by limiting fiber clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding in metalworking, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), and woodworking industries.
