The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 6" x 10 yards and is made with aluminum silicate abrasive in a silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc mineral matrix. This versatile roll is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas, and can be easily cut to any length for precise control or use with hand pad holders, inline, or oscillating sanders. The product features a non-woven fiber matrix that incorporates abrasives for consistent surface conditioning throughout its life, with open-web material that runs cool and resists loading to maintain a consistent cut rate. Silicon carbide offers sharpness suitable for low-pressure applications and produces a finer finish but breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, which provides a higher cut rate and longer life. Talc provides a milder abrasive effect for satin finishes or high-gloss finishes when used with polish in topcoat rubbing. The roll is used for applications including blending, cleaning, contour finishing, general finishing, and lacquer sanding, and serves industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
