The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 6 inches by 10 yards and features silicon carbide SFN grit, designed to deliver consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life, with load resistance that maintains abrasive particle exposure for a steady cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be used by hand for precise control or with a hand pad holder, inline, or oscillating sander to cover larger areas. Manufactured with a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives, silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure tasks such as paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish though it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, which offers a high cut rate and long life. Talc provides a mild abrasive for satin or high-gloss finishes when used with polish. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives consist of abrasive minerals embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix, creating a system that remains cool and load resistant to prevent clogging and ensure high performance cutting. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, with use across metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking industries.
