The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 6" x 10 yards and features silicon carbide abrasive with very fine (VFN) grit, designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastic surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life due to load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed for a consistent cut rate. The general-purpose pad can be cut for hand use to allow precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or used on inline or oscillating sanders to cover larger areas. Available abrasive mineral choices include silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, and talc; silicon carbide is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers a high cut rate and longer life, while talc produces a satin or high gloss finish when polished. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix that runs cool and resists loading, maintaining high performance by limiting fiber clogging. Applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, with relevant industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
