The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ clean and finish roll measures 1" x 10 yds and is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning a variety of metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning for the life of the product. It features load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. The general purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control, while wider width stock can be paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing or used on inline or oscillating sanders for larger areas. The rolls are manufactured with a choice of abrasive minerals including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut rate and long life due to its hard, blocky mineral structure. Talc is a mild abrasive used to achieve a satin finish or, combined with polish, a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that provides consistent results throughout its life. The open-web design runs cool and is load resistant, limiting clogging and maintaining high-performance cutting. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, and the product is used in industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
