The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 12" x 10 yds Talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas, with roll stock that can be cut to any length for consistent surface conditioning throughout the life of the product. It features load resistance to keep abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder or an inline or oscillating sander for larger areas. The Clean and Finish Rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals: silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers a high cut rate and long life, while talc is a mild abrasive used to achieve satin or high gloss finishes in topcoat rubbing applications. The abrasive minerals are incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix that provides a cool-running, load-resistant open-web material to limit clogging and maintain high performance. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, serving industries such as marine, metalworking, MRO, and woodworking.
