3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 16" x 10 yds and features aluminum oxide medium grit, designed to deliver consistent results for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, and plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning for the product's lifespan. It boasts load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate, while the general-purpose pad can be used by hand for precise control. The wider width stock can be paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing or utilized on an inline or oscillating sander for covering larger areas. The Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are available with an option of abrasive minerals, including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness, typically suited for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing. In contrast, aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life, while talc serves as a mild abrasive for achieving a satin finish or a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications. The unique abrasive system combines abrasives with a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool and is load resistant, thus sustaining high-performance cutting by limiting fiber clogging.
