The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 17" x 10 yds Talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastic surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas, with roll stock that can be easily cut to any length. It provides consistent surface conditioning throughout the product's life, featuring load resistance that exposes abrasive particles to maintain a consistent cut rate. The general purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder or inline or oscillating sander for uniform finishing across larger areas. The rolls are available with abrasive minerals including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long life with a blocky hardness, and talc serves as a mild abrasive suitable for achieving satin finishes or high gloss polish in topcoat rubbing applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives combine abrasives with a non-woven fiber matrix, creating a unique surface conditioning product that provides consistent performance by running cool and resisting loading, preventing fiber clogging and maintaining high cutting efficiency.
