The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 4 inches by 10 yards and features an aluminum silicate SFN grit designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastic surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning throughout its usable life. It offers load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. The general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing on wider widths, and it is suitable for use with inline or oscillating sanders to cover larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are manufactured with options of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals, where silicon carbide is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers a high cut rate and long life, and talc is a mild abrasive used for satin finishes or combined with polish for high gloss topcoat rubbing. The abrasives are embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix that combines abrasives and material to create a consistent abrasive system that runs cool, resists loading, and maintains high performance by limiting clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, with industries served including metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
