The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measuring 4" x 10 yards is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning a variety of metals, wood, and plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. The roll can be cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its use. It features load resistance that maintains abrasive particle exposure for a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be hand-cut for precise control or used in wider widths paired with a hand pad holder or on inline and oscillating sanders for larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives. The silicon carbide grit is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, producing a finer finish though it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, which offers a high cut rate and long life. Talc is a mild abrasive used for satin finishes or with polish to achieve high gloss topcoat rubbing effects. The abrasive minerals are embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool and resists loading, ensuring high-performance cutting by limiting clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, and lacquer sanding, serving industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
