The 3M Stikit paper refill roll measures 2-1/2" wide by 100" long and features silicon carbide abrasive with a 320 grit rating. The open coat abrasive is fast cutting, load resistant, and creates a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. This paper roll is sized to fit various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock suitable for high production environments. The Stikit pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing securely holds the paper during use and enables quick, clean removal for easy change-out when worn. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness, is commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding due to producing a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. The product is designed for a wide range of sanding and finishing tasks including general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation prior to staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. Applications include finishing, lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, varnish stripping, cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, and primary wood and panel processing. The PSA backing allows the abrasive to press onto backup or hand pads and remove cleanly without contaminating the surface for the next sheet.
