The 3M Stikit Paper Refill Roll measures 2-1/2" W by 85" L and features silicon carbide abrasive with 180 grit, designed for fast cutting, load resistance, and producing a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. This open coat abrasive is suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation before staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. The synthetic silicon carbide mineral is very sharp, ideal for final finishing in white wood sanding, and while it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it results in a superior finish. The roll is sized to fit various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock for high production environments. The Stikit pressure-sensitive adhesive backing securely holds the abrasive during use and allows quick, clean removal when worn, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next sheet. Applications include finishing, lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, varnish stripping, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture making, and primary wood and panel processing within industries such as cabinetry, woodworking, furniture, and panel manufacturing.
