The 3M Stikit Paper Refill Roll measures 2-1/2" W x 95" L and features a silicon carbide abrasive with a grit of 220. This open coat abrasive, 3M™ Stikit™ paper roll 426U, is known for its fast cutting capability and load resistance, providing a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. It is designed to fit various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and offering bulk stock suitable for high production environments. The Stikit™ PSA backing ensures secure handling during use and allows for quick and easy changeouts when worn. This product is ideal for applications such as general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation prior to staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. Silicon carbide, being a synthetic mineral, delivers sharpness and is typically used for final finishing in white wood sanding. While it may break down faster than aluminum oxide, it yields a superior finish. The 3M™ Stikit™ products come ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the backside that allows them to conveniently adhere to backup pads or hand pads while being removable without leaving residue, ensuring an uncontaminated surface for subsequent sheets. Applications include finishing, lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, and varnish stripping.
