The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 18" x 10 yds Talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, and plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock, which can be easily cut to any length, provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life. It features load resistance that maintains exposed abrasive particles and a consistent cut rate. The general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or used on inline or oscillating sanders to cover larger areas. The Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals, each serving different purposes: silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers a high cut rate and long life with a blocky structure, and talc is a mild abrasive for satin finishes or high gloss finishes in topcoat rubbing applications. These abrasives are incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix that ensures consistent results and an open-web design that runs cool and resists loading, maintaining high-performance cutting by limiting fiber clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, and the product is used across metalworking, MRO, and woodworking industries.
