The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ clean and finish roll measures 2 inches by 10 yards and features an aluminum oxide medium grit abrasive for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll can be cut to any length for precise control and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its lifespan due to load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate. It is suitable for hand use or wider widths paired with a hand pad holder or used on inline or oscillating sanders for larger areas. The Scotch-Brite™ rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives; aluminum oxide offers a hard, blocky mineral with a high cut rate and long life, producing a coarser finish compared to faster-breaking silicon carbide, while talc provides a mild abrasive effect for satin or high-gloss finishes. The non-woven fiber matrix integrates these abrasives to form an abrasive system with load resistance and cooling open-web material, limiting fiber clogging and maintaining cutting performance.
