The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 4 inches by 10 yards and features Silicon Carbide ULF grit, designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning a variety of surfaces including metals, wood, and plastics, as well as hard-to-reach areas. The roll can be easily cut to length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life with load resistance that maintains abrasive particle exposure for a stable cut rate. It is suitable for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing. Available with a choice of abrasive minerals—Silicon Carbide, Aluminum Oxide, or Talc—Silicon Carbide offers a sharp, fine finish but breaks down faster than Aluminum Oxide, which provides a higher cut rate and longer life. Talc serves as a mild abrasive for satin or high gloss finishes in topcoat applications. The abrasive is incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix that creates an open-web, load-resistant system that runs cool and limits clogging to maintain high-performance cutting. It is applicable for blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding in industries including metalworking, MRO, and woodworking.
