The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 8 inches by 10 yards and features aluminum oxide VFN grit designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastic surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life. It offers load resistance to keep abrasive particles exposed for a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or used on inline or oscillating sanders for larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are manufactured using a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals, where aluminum oxide delivers high cut rate and long life, silicon carbide is sharper but breaks down faster and produces a finer finish, and talc is a mild abrasive for satin or high gloss finishes. These abrasives are incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix combining abrasives with an open-web material that runs cool and is load resistant to limit clogging, maintaining high performance abrasive cutting. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding for industries such as metalworking, MRO, and woodworking.
