The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 9 inches by 10 yards and features aluminum silicate SFN grit, delivering consistent results for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, and plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning throughout the product's life. Load resistance ensures abrasive particles remain exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be cut for hand use to achieve precise control or paired with a hand pad holder or used on inline or oscillating sanders for uniform finishing across larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ rolls are manufactured with a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals: silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing; aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering high cut rate and long life; talc is a mild abrasive used to achieve a satin finish or, combined with polish, a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing applications. The abrasives are incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web material that runs cool, resists load, limits clogging, and maintains high cutting performance. Applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, primarily in metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking industries.
