The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ clean and finish roll measures 9 inches by 10 yards and features silicon carbide VFN grit, designed to deliver consistent results for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life. Its load resistance design keeps abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be hand-cut for precise control, used with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or applied on inline or oscillating sanders for larger surface areas. The Scotch-Brite™ rolls are manufactured with options of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suitable for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, alumina oxide is a hard mineral offering high cut rates and long life, and talc is a mild abrasive for satin finishes or polishing to high gloss in topcoat rubbing. The abrasives are embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that maintains consistent performance by running cool and resisting load and clogging.
