The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 9" x 10 yds Talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastic surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock is easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its use, with load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder or inline/oscillating sander for wider coverage. The rolls are manufactured with a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic mineral commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep and finishing, breaking down faster but producing a finer finish. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life, while talc is a mild abrasive suitable for achieving satin finishes or high gloss finishes when used with polish in topcoat rubbing applications. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasives into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results, with open-web material that runs cool and limits fiber clogging to maintain high performance. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, with uses in industries such as metalworking, MRO, and woodworking.
