The 3M Stikit paper refill roll measures 3-1/4" wide by 55" long and features silicon carbide abrasive with a 100 grit rating. This open coat abrasive is fast cutting, load resistant, and produces a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. The roll is sized to fit various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock suitable for high production environments. It incorporates Stikit pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that securely holds the paper during use and allows quick, clean removal when worn. Silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral, is commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding and, although it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it yields a superior finish. The 3M Stikit paper is designed for applications such as general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation before staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. Other typical uses include lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, varnish stripping, cabinetry, custom woodworking, millwork, furniture making, and primary wood and panel processing. The product is ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating that cleanly adheres to or removes from backup or hand pads without contaminating surfaces, supporting a wide range of sanding and finishing needs.
