The 3M Stikit Paper Refill Roll measures 3-1/4" W x 100" L and features silicon carbide abrasive with a 320 grit. This open coat abrasive is fast cutting, load resistant, and provides a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. Designed to fit various sanding blocks, it minimizes waste and is ideal for high production environments. The Stikit PSA backing securely holds the abrasive during use and allows for quick and easy change-outs when worn. It is suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation prior to staining or painting, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral, is known for its sharpness and is commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding, producing a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. The 3M Stikit products are ready to use with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, allowing for convenient application to backup pads or hand pads while ensuring a clean removal for the next sheet. Applications include finishing, lacquer sanding, scuffing, sealant removal, and varnish stripping.
