The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll 2" x 10 yds talc is designed for finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, and plastic surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning throughout the product's life. It features load resistance to keep abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control, or wider widths can be used with a hand pad holder or on an inline or oscillating sander for larger surface areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suitable for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life, while silicon carbide produces a finer finish but breaks down faster. Talc is a mild abrasive ideal for achieving a satin finish or, combined with polish, a high gloss finish for topcoat rubbing applications. The abrasives are incorporated into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that consistently delivers results. The open-web material resists clogging, runs cool, and maintains high abrasive performance. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, making it suitable for industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
