The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 2 inches by 10 yards and features an aluminum silicate SFN grit designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning throughout the product's life. Its load resistance keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate, and the general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing or used on inline or oscillating sanders for larger areas. The product is manufactured with a choice of abrasive minerals including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc. Silicon carbide is sharp and suitable for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing; aluminum oxide offers high cut-rate and long life with a blocky mineral structure, producing a finer finish despite wearing down slower than silicon carbide. Talc provides a mild abrasive action for satin finishes or high-gloss polish in topcoat rubbing. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives combine abrasives within a non-woven fiber matrix, delivering consistent results throughout the product's life by running cool and resisting loading, thereby maintaining cutting performance. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, general finishing, and lacquer sanding, serving industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
