The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll, measuring 5" x 10 yds, features silicon carbide abrasive in SFN grit for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life, with load resistance that keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. It is suitable for hand use or wider widths with a hand pad holder, inline, or oscillating sanders for larger areas. The rolls are manufactured with a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives; silicon carbide is sharp and ideal for low-pressure paint prep and finishing, aluminum oxide offers high cut rate and long life, while talc provides a mild abrasive action for satin to high gloss finishes. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives combine abrasive minerals within a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that runs cool, resists loading, and ensures high cutting performance by limiting fiber clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding in metalworking, MRO, and woodworking industries.
