The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 5-1/2" x 10 yards and features an aluminum oxide Very Fine Nonwoven (VFN) grit abrasive designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be conveniently cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its lifespan. Load resistance maintains abrasive particle exposure to ensure a consistent cut rate. This general-purpose pad can be hand-cut for precise control, used with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, or applied on inline or oscillating sanders for larger surface coverage. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals; aluminum oxide offers high cut rate and long life, silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications producing a finer finish but wears faster, and talc serves as a mild abrasive for satin or high-gloss finishes. The abrasives are incorporated in a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an open-web, load-resistant material that runs cool and limits clogging, thus sustaining high performance. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, general finishing, and lacquer sanding across industries such as metalworking, MRO, and woodworking.
