The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll, measuring 6 inches by 10 yards, features aluminum oxide abrasive mineral designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length and provides consistent surface conditioning throughout its life. Load resistance technology keeps abrasive particles exposed to maintain a consistent cut rate. The general-purpose pad can be cut and used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, and it is compatible with inline or oscillating sanders for covering larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are manufactured with a choice of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasives. Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral that offers high cut rate and long life, while silicon carbide is very sharp, suitable for low-pressure applications like paint prep, and breaks down faster but produces a finer finish. Talc serves as a mild abrasive for satin finishes or high gloss finishes when used with polish. The abrasives are embedded into a non-woven fiber matrix that delivers consistent results by limiting fiber clogging and running cool during use. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, serving industries such as metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking.
