The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 3 inches by 10 yards and features aluminum oxide medium grit for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock can be easily cut to any length, providing uniform surface conditioning throughout the product's life. It incorporates load resistance to keep abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate, and can be used by hand or paired with a hand pad holder or on inline or oscillating sanders for larger surfaces. Manufactured with aluminum oxide, a hard blocky mineral known for high cut-rate and long life, this roll differs from other options using silicon carbide or talc abrasives, where silicon carbide offers sharper, finer finishes at low pressure, and talc provides mild abrasion for satin or high gloss finishes in topcoat rubbing. The abrasive is embedded in a non-woven fiber matrix that runs cool, resists loading, and limits clogging, ensuring sustained high performance. Applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding, with primary use in metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking industries.
