The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Roll measures 3 inches by 10 yards and features aluminum oxide VFN grit, designed for consistent finishing, blending, polishing, and cleaning on various metals, wood, plastics, and hard-to-reach areas. The roll stock is easily cut to any length, providing consistent surface conditioning throughout its life. It incorporates load resistance to keep abrasive particles exposed, maintaining a steady cut rate. This general purpose pad can be used by hand for precise control or paired with a hand pad holder for uniform finishing, and it is compatible with inline or oscillating sanders to cover larger areas. Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Rolls are manufactured with a choice of abrasive minerals including silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc. Silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a hard, blocky structure that delivers high cut-rate and long life. Talc provides a mild abrasive option for satin finishing or, when combined with polish, a high gloss finish in topcoat rubbing. These abrasives are embedded within a non-woven fiber matrix, creating an abrasive system that ensures consistent performance by limiting fiber clogging and running cool due to the open-web design. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, finishing, and lacquer sanding within metalworking, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and woodworking industries. The product includes a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
