The 3M™ Stikit™ paper sheet roll 426U measures 2-3/4" x 35 yards and features a 100 grit silicon carbide abrasive. This abrasive sheet stock is constructed on an A-weight, lightweight paper backed with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) and an anti-loading coating. The silicon carbide abrasive combined with the lightweight paper backing makes it ideal for finishing applications such as paint preparation, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface finishing, general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, clear coat dulling, and bare wood sanding. The open coat abrasive is fast cutting, load resistant, and delivers a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. The roll is sized for compatibility with various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock suitable for high production environments. The Stikit™ PSA backing ensures secure hold during use and allows quick, easy removal and replacement of worn sheets, leaving a clean, uncontaminated surface for subsequent sheets. Silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral, is commonly used for final finishing in white wood sanding, offering superior finish quality despite a faster breakdown compared to aluminum oxide.
