3M™ Stikit™ paper sheet roll 426U measures 2-3/4" x 50 yards and features 220 grit silicon carbide abrasive. It is constructed on an A-weight, light paper backing with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing and includes an anti-loading coating. The silicon carbide abrasive combined with the lightweight paper backing makes this product suitable for finishing applications such as paint preparation, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface finishing, general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and prep prior to staining or painting, as well as clear coat dulling and bare wood sanding. The open coat abrasive delivers fast cutting and load resistance while producing a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives. The product is sized to fit various sanding blocks, minimizing waste and providing bulk stock ideal for high production environments. The Stikit™ PSA backing ensures secure handling during sanding and finishing, allowing quick and easy changes when the abrasive is worn. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral known for sharpness and superior finishing on white wood, though it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide.
