The 3M Utility Cloth Roll measures 1-1/2 inches in width and 50 yards in length, featuring aluminum oxide with an 80 grit designation. Users can easily tear off the desired length of the strip for specific applications. Most grades of this cloth roll utilize a light, J-weight backing that provides the necessary flexibility to conform to circular edges, angles, or other contours, while rolls in grades P50 or P60 include a slightly stiffer X-weight backing suitable for coarser sanding tasks. The cloth is designed to endure bending or rolling without tearing or shelling, and strips can be manually torn to create smaller pieces without compromising the sanding surface.
