The Push Station with Sounder and Cover, Emergency, Red - PSEMSC-R is designed for a variety of industrial and commercial applications, functioning as a traditional fire alarm pull station to initiate emergency equipment and signals. This robust red emergency unit features a push and turn reset button, along with a tamper-resistant polycarbonate cover that safeguards the station from physical damage and helps prevent false alarms while allowing genuine emergency access. Upon lifting the cover, a piercing tone activates to alert nearby individuals, silencing once the cover is re-secured. The sounder operates on a 9VDC battery, which is included, and is easily mounted over the station using four anchor screws. The design accommodates installation and maintenance, utilizing a terminal block, and can be mounted on existing single-gang or 4 x 4 electrical boxes with plaster ring adapters (customer supplied). The unit is UL and CUL listed, compliant with Type 3R specifications for outdoor use, and meets ADA requirements by requiring less than five foot pounds for activation. The contact ratings for the push button stations are 600VAC @ 3 amps and 250VDC @ 1 amp.
