The model MPEX explosion-proof pull station is engineered for harsh environments and is rated for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III. It meets NEMA 7 standards for Groups C & D and NEMA 9 standards for Groups E, F, and G, making it suitable for hazardous locations where flammable gases, vapors, combustible dusts, or easily ignitable fibers are present. The pull station features a unique swing-up front cover that reveals a pull-down ring to activate the alarm, ensuring a two-step activation process to prevent accidental alerts. Resetting the MPEX involves depressing the shaft and returning the plate to its original position. The contacts are rated at 120VAC, 60Hz and can handle six amps continuously. The enclosure is constructed from copper-free cast aluminum alloy, and installation is facilitated by feed-through 3/4 inch conduit openings on either end. The unit is painted bright red for high visibility and includes clearly marked operating instructions on the face plate.
