The Push Station with Sounder and Cover, Evacuation Yellow - PSEVSC-Y, is designed for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. This unit functions like a traditional fire alarm pull station, facilitating a simple contact closure to activate emergency equipment, audible and visual signals, and alarm panels. It features a push and turn reset button and a tamper-resistant polycarbonate cover, which protects against physical damage and helps prevent false alarms while allowing for emergency use. When the cover is lifted, a piercing tone alerts attention to the area, and the piezo horn silences when the cover is closed. Power for the piezo alarm is supplied by a 9VDC battery, which is included. The sounder cover is easily mounted over the station using four anchor screws, and the terminal block simplifies installation and maintenance. The unit is compatible with existing single-gang electrical boxes or 4 x 4 electrical boxes with plaster ring adapters (customer supplied). Additionally, it is UL and CUL listed, complies with Type 3R specifications for outdoor use with the cover and gasket, and meets ADA requirements (requiring less than five foot pounds for activation). The contact ratings for the push button stations are 600VAC @ 3 amps and 250VDC @ 1 amp.
