The EF1459 is a horizontal band saw mounted on a vertical frame, designed for cutting metals, plastics, and woods in various configurations. This versatile saw operates as a fast and accurate cut-off machine suitable for notching, slitting, and slotting, while also functioning as a contour, profile, and rip saw. It features a gravity feed system that allows for a cutting capacity of 14-1/2" under the guides and a 9" cut, with the blade and vertical column moving along an inclined track. The counterweight control aids in optimizing cutting pressure and prolonging blade life, enhancing safety by keeping the workpiece stationary and hands out of the cutting zone. The unit is equipped with hydraulic safety feed regulation, an adjustable blade guard, and a pre-set adjustable stop for controlling blade depth. Constructed for durability and efficiency, the EF1459 includes an 18-1/2" x 30" precision-ground cast iron table, hardened grooved roller guides compatible with blade sizes ranging from 1/4" to 3/4" without requiring adjustments, and rubber-tired blade wheels to prevent slippage. Additionally, the band saw package includes an angle plate swivel work block, a large C-clamp, a blade/speed selector chart, and a one horsepower motor with a switch.
